Welcome!
This Global Education Guide has been a year long process, and is a capstone project for Teachers for Global Classrooms (TGC) Program.
Teachers for Global Classrooms is a component of IREX, International Research and Exchanges Board, which is an international nonprofit organization providing thought leadership and innovative programs to promote positive lasting change globally. The program is funded by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.
TGC provides professional development opportunities for secondary level teachers. The program consists of an application process, intensive eight week online class, pre-travel symposium, international travel for 2-3 weeks, post-travel symposium, and the completion of a capstone project. The goal of the program is to assist teachers in globalizing their classrooms and learning experiences for their students.
