Global Standards
Identify nutrients and their relationship to health around the globe. Examine the health risks related to water contamination throughout the world. Students will explain why food choices are limited by resources, culture and geography. Explain the dangers of drug dependence (alcohol, tobacco and illicit and prescription drugs) and addiction on the user, family and social/economic implications to the community and society. Understand the perspective of those who are being bullied, and explain the role witnesses and bystanders have in preventing violence and reporting dangerous situations to the appropriate individuals. |
